Open to all solo instruments and voice, the Competition took

place in May 2007 with Junior (14 and under) and

Senior (high school) divisions. Emerson Millar, a twelve year

old from Ithaca, was the 2007 winner of the Junior Division,

and will be awarded a $250 prize by Jairo Geronymo,

piano faculty at Ithaca College. Seventeen year old

Meredith Riley, also of Ithaca, was the winner of the Senior Division.

She will be awarded a $250 prize by CFCU, and

Eliot Heaton, 18, of Geneva, won second place in the Senior Division.

Eliot will receive a $250 Senior prize, as well.

All three violinists will perform at the March 29th, 2008 concert, conducted by

Lanfranco Marcelletti. The Youth Competition kicked off

the first year of CCO Young Performers club, which will sponsor

four masterclasses this season for all instruments and voice.

This yearfs masterclasses are particularly exciting

because the classes will be conducted by
